CLE Shops: R/S

A couple of weeks ago, Clair and I stopped in at R/S Cleveland for some retail therapy and to see lovely Jennie! To be honest, it had been a few months since I stopped over, and seeing all the fun and adorable merchandise made me remember how much I LOVE this boutique.

There was so much great stuff on display-- from the adorable puppy centric gifts (for the new fur-parent) or artisan bitters (for the beverage aficionado), and charming hostess gifts (for all the spring parties), R/S has a little something for everyone. And, if you're looking to fill adult easter baskets, this is a perfect local boutique to turn to!

I picked up an adorable tunic/beach cover up and a ridiculously cute tea steeper in the shape of an axe!! I haven't taken any pictures of my purchases yet, although I'm sure they will make an appearance on Instagram (@cleshopaholic) soon enough!

R/S is located on West 25th in Ohio City, just south of Lorain Rd. Check their website for hours of operation!

216 bangles

Its no secret that I love jewelry. Its also no secret that these days I'm really into bracelets and bangles. Late last year, I picked up a lovely set of stackable bangles on etsy from georgiedesigns. One of my favorite things about etsy is the ability to customize, and of course, I did just that by choosing a set of 3 gold fill bangle bracelets with the numbers 2-1-6. Cleveland pride on my wrist!!!!

All wrapped up, and on my wrist!! You can be sure I will be wearing these A LOT this summer!!

Exploring Cleveland: Evie Lou

So this past weekend, I stopped by Tremont to visit a new store that I noticed a couple of weeks ago: Evie Lou. Located a couple of door down from A Cookie and A Cupcake (try the pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese frosting; DELISH), Evie Lou just opened a couple of weeks ago.  Owner Kim Crow (name sounds familiar? She writes a column for the Plain Dealer) has picked a color palette heavy on the neutrals, which is perfectly on-trend for fall.

The offerings are mainly knits, and include a great selection of made-in-the-USA clothing (which has correspondingly higher prices), as well as some imports. I really LURVED the selection; lots of very comfy but very very cute hoodies, tunics, tops and jackets, at a variety of prices to suit many budgets. Here's some pictures:

So here's something I was not expecting: Evie Lou also carries plus sizes, and in the next month or so, will also start carrying a small selection of men's clothing. The men's collection will be mainly casual, and include hoodies and thermals. Kim is trying to get a sense of what Cleveland men are looking for, so if you're a man who's been complaining about the limited selection of men's casual clothing in Cleveland, please PLEASE visit the store, check out the selection, and offer some feeback.
